How do we trouble time? (2021)

How do we trouble time? was commissioned for Start a Reaction, a one-day-only exhibition on August 7, 2021 at the Nuclear Energy sculpture site in Hyde Park. It was created in conversation with a performance by Japanese choreographer and MacArthur genius grant winner Eiko Otake, They did not hesitate, which interweaved the origin and tragic implementation of the atomic bomb with the perils of today.

How do we trouble time? was a question in response to Eiko's answer, a site-specific, augmented reality environment which took the audience on a troubling quantum journey in which a 3d scan of the site was transformed into a clock whose face was made of 12 voids. The project was realized in collaboration with Taylor Shuck and with a contribution from Aviva Avnisan. The event followed upon a summer of research and development
